Epoch - Querying

Bastard-born Eleanor would do anything to become a true lady, even marry her much older cousin, yet her plans fall apart when a strange woman lures her into the dying White Forest. The forest sends Eleanor back a thousand years, to a time that resembles the fairytales she adored as a child – including the forestborn, a mythical race of men on the brink of war with the humans. Caught between knights, rebels and witches, Eleanor fights to find a way home but soon realizes that the past is not ready to let her go.

Ever since his brother was murdered by human knights, forestborn Aedan has longed for justice. To join the fight against the humans, he leaves behind his home yet as tensions threaten to erupt into war, Aedan learns of the decay which may befall his people and turn their deity, the White Forest, to rot.

Eleanor and Aedan’s fates are bound – to each other and to the war which draws near. Its outcome will determine the fate of the White Forest and the course of the future – and, perhaps, whether there can be a future at all.

The Muse of moor’s End - WIP

Never meet your muses…

For years, aspiring playwright Adelheid Nordstern has dreamed of the woman in the crimson dress, the legendary actress Pearl Farer who awakened all of Addie’s passions. So when the opportunity to meet her muse presents itself, Addie grasps it – even if it means leaving her comfortable home, traveling across the country, and posing as a maid.

When Addie arrives at the isolated Moor’s End Manor where Pearl resides, she is met with a dark surprise. The housekeeper is dead, her muse is hidden away and the estate is abandoned – except for Lord Farer, Pearl’s brooding but compelling husband.

Despite the lord’s efforts to be rid of her, Addie is determined to stay and get the inspiration she needs to finish her play. Yet when she finds herself haunted by her own muse and a growing attraction to Lord Farer, Addie learns that sometimes art comes at a terrible price.
